Joyce's Wedding Favorites provides the traditionalmusic of a church wedding in any location. This CD combines years of Joyce's experience playing for weddings. Hollywood has known for years that music influences our interpretation of what we see. A photo of people in costume could be Mardi Gras or Halloween. The same is true of a wedding...especially a wedding in a nontraditional location such as your home or a park. During the first 20 minutes of Joyce's Wedding Favorites, you will hear familiar songs which are easily recognizable by different generations. This blending of musical memories help different age groups experience that special feeling of a wedding-not just a beautiful, costume party. Remember, the Prelude, played before your Wedding Ceremony, is for your GUESTS. The Bridal Couple will be involved with dressing, etc. so select music which will be meaningful to your friends and family but respectful of your Wedding Ceremony. The Ceremony music begins with 2 versions of the Bridal Chorus (Here Comes The Bride). Tract 8, the complete version is recommended when you have a large number of attendants or the attendants must walk a large distance to the Ceremony site, such as in a garden wedding. Tract 9 is shorter and is preferred if you only have l or 2 attendants and the wedding is in a smaller area such as a home. Both versions start softly for the entrance of the Bridal Party. At the "Fanfare", the traditional cue for the guests to stand for the entrance of the bride, the volume increases. Traditional music such as "Here Comes The Bride" and Mendelssohn's Wedding March have become traditional favorites because this music has worked well for generations. It helps organize and coordinate your wedding by giving the Bridal Couple and their guests musical cues so they know what to expect. If a wedding is at 2PM, without music, only your watch knows the difference between 3 minutes BEFORE 2PM and 3 minutes AFTER 2PM. However, if 3 minutes before 2PM, Sunrise, Sunset is played for the seating of the Mothers, both the Bridal Party and their guests expect the wedding ceremony to begin at 2PM. Special selections, played during your Ceremony, should not be too lengthy. Please remember, do not waste a beautiful love song, which lasts 4-5 minutes, during your Ceremony. Save that special song for your dance at the Reception and select a meaningful song which lasts only 2-3 minutes for your Ceremony. A 5 minute song can seem a VERY long time to look at each other, while your guests are watching you. The Lord's Prayer and/or Shubert's Ave Maria are excellent choices to be played for a moment of silent prayers during your Ceremony. Mendelssohn's Wedding March is the final cue that the Ceremony is over and the festivities now begin. When your guests hear the Wedding March, they know NOW is the time to express their congratulations and begin the celebration. Joyce's Wedding Favorites are original arrangements of well known wedding songs recorded in sequence especially for the Wedding Ceremony and seating of guests. Just turn it on 20 minutes before the Ceremony and let the music organize your wedding so you and your guests can relax and enjoy this special occasion. This majestic organ music uniquely creates that special feeling of a church wedding in any location. It's affordable, easy to use and becomes a timeless keepsake when you complete the Marriage Certificate which is printed on the inside of the front cover of the CD. Just imagine, a personalized keepsake, which is the music of Your Wedding. Nothing captures memories like music.
